Starting from the very posh venue of Ashfields Carriage and Polo Club, Great Canfield CM6 1JU, you get to ride on some of their private headland tracks and other local bridleways and minor roads. Route is approximately 10 miles and there is a choice of a shorter route.
For those of you with a sat-nav DO NOT FOLLOW IT IF IT TELLS YOU TO GO INTO HIGH CROSS LANE (WEST OR EAST) AS THIS A SINGLE TRACK ROAD AND IS UNSUITABLE FOR HORSEBOXES AND TRAILERS.
Flu Vaccinations - All horses attending this ride MUST be up to date with their annual flu injections (ie. the last booster is no more than a year old). Sorry this is not negotiable as the yard is an international carriage driving and livery yard and these are their requirements.
You should receive your start sheet immediately upon entering. If you do not receive it please contact Alison Power on alisonjean6@yahoo.co.uk as soon as you realise and not the night before the ride!

A chance to ride in this wonderful ancient forest on wide grassy clearings and tracks between the trees. The route is to be confirmed and is subject to ground conditions, but the route we have planned is just over 8 miles for the long (roughly 2 hours at a decent pace) and about 5 miles for the short. The short route is totally within the forest (no roads). The longer route will have some minor road work. Please be aware that there may be cows in the forest at the time of the ride.
The ride price has been increased to £20.00 to cover additional costs which are being subsidised by EBA. This ride is open to Members only initially and will be opened to non members after a week or so if there are still places available as we are restricted to 100 entries only. Non members price will be £25.
Please be Strangles aware and do not come if your horse is showing any signs of being unwell.
