This ride is still going ahead but if you have booked and would like to go earlier than your booked time we are happy for you to arrive earlier to beat the heat. We have also added an approx. 4 mile Short Route, for those who might just want to walk the entire way.
A very popular ride with a variety of hilly tracks through the woods, some country lanes, surfaced bridleways and field edges. As it was popular last year, the route leaves out some of the previous road work round Little London making the long route about 9 miles and there will also be a short option of about 5 miles.
Now open to both members and non members.

NOTICE
WE HAVE MADE THE DIFFICULT DECISION TO CANCEL THIS RIDE DUE TO THE ONGOING FORECAST HIGH TEMPERATURES. EVERYONE BOOKED ON WILL BE CONTACTED VIA EMAIL AND WILL RECEIVE A REFUND.
Starting from the very posh venue of Ashfields Carriage and Polo Club, Great Canfield CM6 1JU (W3W devoured.gentle.spray), you get to ride on some of their private headland tracks and other local bridleways and minor roads. Route is approximately 10 miles and there may be a choice of a shorter route.
For those of you with a sat-nav DO NOT FOLLOW IT IF IT TELLS YOU TO GO INTO HIGH CROSS LANE (WEST OR EAST) AS THIS A SINGLE TRACK ROAD AND IS UNSUITABLE FOR HORSEBOXES AND TRAILERS.
Flu Vaccinations - All horses attending this ride MUST be up to date with their annual flu injections (ie. the last booster is no more than a year old). Sorry this is not negotiable as the yard is an international carriage driving and livery yard and these are their requirements.

This ride is confirmed as going ahead.
A chance to ride in this wonderful ancient forest on wide grassy clearings and tracks between the trees. The route is to be confirmed and is subject to ground conditions, but the route we have planned is just over 8 miles for the long (roughly 2 hours at a decent pace) and about 5 miles for the short. The short route is totally within the forest (no roads). The longer route will have some minor road work. Please be aware that there may be cows in the forest at the time of the ride.
The ride price has been increased by £5 to cover additional costs which are being subsidised by EBA. This ride will be open to Members only initially and will be opened to non members after a week or so if there are still places available as we are restricted to 100 entries only. There will be no entries taken on the day.
Equine Influenza and Strangles Precautions: Please be aware of the signs and symptoms and do not attend if your horse has a raised temperature or a nasal discharge (which is not usual for your horse).
