Even though the hope is that the worst of the Pandemic is over - the task of organising a Group Holiday is not without its stresses and strains! However, our two amazing Committee Members, Alison and Brenda did a sterling job and ensured that all the participants had a fabulous time at Little Lodge Thetford Forest. Everything went to plan, the Sun shone, the horses in stables and fields, all settled in well. Everyone loved the lodges. Some ventured into the hot tub, some drank wine and prosecco, or both!
The weekend started with a welcome drink and meet up organised by Brenda and Alison in their Lodge. Everyone rode both days, and some again on Monday before leaving. Some riders and horses braved the stream, some hacking out for 3 hours!
The group evening meal at a lovely old and atmospheric local Pub, The Crown went really well. Alison and Brenda had thought of everything, even arranging for extra waiting staff, so the group didn't have to wait for ages for food and drink. An EBA Holiday tradition is that everyone receives a special EBA Rosette and these were all placed on a wine glass displayed on the huge table.
Everyone left on the Monday, to lots of sad goodbyes.
We have received such positive feedback about this holiday that we will be arranging another one to Little Lodge next May so watch out for the details a little nearer the time.
The Committee would like to thank Alison and Brenda for all their hard work in making this holiday happen and giving our members a weekend to remember.
