BHS Annual Awards Ceremony
Yesterday was very special and a day to remember for EBA. Our former long-standing Committee Member, Lesley Gillman was presented with the 2020 BHS Annual Access Award by the BHS President, Martin Clunes OBE and HRH The Princess Royal was in attendance. The Awards Ceremony covered 2020 and 2021 as last year the Awards were of course cancelled owing to COVID.
The event was held at Newbury Racecourse with the first race being a Charity Race in aid of the BHS. The youngest Award winners and also members of EBA, Eliza and Beatrice Cowell aged six and three respectively were given a Fundraising Award for their superlative efforts in raising money for BHS Rideathon 2020, hacking more than 70km on their Shetland ponies and raising £265 for the BHS. Eliza and Beatrice along with their mum, Caroline are frequent participants on our EBA Rides.
