A new ride for us exploring the bridleways around Ramsden Heath and South Hanningfield.A choice of 7.5 miles or 10 miles. We had to limit the ride to 100 riders and the ride was a sell-out.
So much planning goes into a new ride, arranging the parking, plotting and marking the route and evaluating feasibility. It was a shame that we had to put a height restriction on lorries of 10 foot. This was because the entrance to the parking is lined with fir trees that have low branches and we were unable to cut them back as they have a protection order on them. This did mean only trailers and smaller lorries could get in but on balance we decided the ride had lots of merits and on a new area so gave the opportunity to riders. We had so many positive comments about the ride we are glad we took the risk to do something different and new!
