The Thetford Lodge Members only holiday is now open for booking. Click on the Events link for more information.

Sadly this year we have lost 2 of our popular venues, Middlewick and Spains Hall. We are working on options to try to replace these so please bear with us and keep an eye on here and our facebook page.

We are delighted to be able to add a provisional date for Hatfield Forest, subject to formal approval being granted by Natural England.

Welcome to our web site

Welcome to Essex Bridleways Association. A registered charity set up in 1979 to preserve and develop the Bridleway network in Essex. Run entirely by volunteers, we work tirelessly campaigning and working with the authorities to improve, restore and create a safe riding environment for riders in Essex. Funds raised through our membership and pleasure rides pay to employ a Bridleway Development Officer and Historic Researcher; both help to further our work. We need your support to continue this important work so please join. As Essex becomes ever more developed it is imperative that equestrians are not forgotten and we are making sure this does not happen. The more members we have, the more likely it is that authorities will realise just how passionate we are to continue enjoying our beautiful Essex countryside.
